The new delinquents So as the never ending seasonal storm of shows rages on, we get this great work of two genres which have nothing in common, the time travel and the delinquent genre. Tokyo Revengers is the rambunctious love child of these genres. So at the beginning, when I saw the trailer for the anime, I was not really captivated. To experience the story, I just looked up the manga and read 2 chapters and just slept on the show. That was until i saw the 4 or 5th episode of the anime, the true nature of the show had been revealed. This was what got me to watch the show and read ahead in the manga. the story The story follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a loser in his late 20s, who’s middle school girlfriend, tachibana hinata, gets killed by a gang. After a near death experience, Takemichi is transferred into his 13 year old delinquent self.
