Into the 5 leaf grimoire

The Adventure

Black clover, one of this generation's big three. Black Clover follows the story of Asta and Yuno, two orphans raised by a church in the clover kingdom. Yuno has a natural talent for magic, unlike Asta. Once a person turns 15 in the kingdom, they receive a grimoire, a book that enhances magical abilities. Yuno receives a legendary four-leaf grimoire and Asta receives an old dusty grimoire. The boys soon set out to be magical knights, becoming one step closer to becoming the wizard king- the strongest mage in the kingdom. After passing the magic knights exam the boys are chosen into different squads, Yuno joins the Golden Dawn- the strongest squad in the kingdom and Asta joins the worst magic knights squad there is- the Black bulls. With this beginning, they encounter friends and enemies, who help them and contest with them.

The colorful world and cast

This show might appeal to a lot of people as the next naruto as the Hokage is similar to Black Clover’s wizard king, and your not wrong it has similar elements to naruto, but also has its own different twists. Black clover has a very simple magic system, which fits perfectly with each character’s personality, like Charmy (a member of the black bulls) who has the power to summon sheep cooks and others to cook food, which helps her foodie nature. There’s also Gordon who has poison magic which can be used medically, which suits his gothic looks and soft personality. Black clover also has an ever-growing world, which is very diverse special.

The main man, Asta

The main protagonist Asta must be one of the loudest, naive and overpowered characters this decade. Asta, from the first episode, screams on top of his lungs, making his presence known. Asta is a very interesting character, who is fueled by his struggle to become stronger. Ata knows he is very weak in magic, and at a point where he thought he lost all he shouted to himself to keep going, which makes him very likeable, at first u might think he is going to be screaming all day, but that reduces as the show progresses.

To watch or not watch

The show is also manages everything from fights to comedic timing and gives us what we love from shounen little by little. The art and animation art good, but not the best as the episodes come out weekly. The show still has few of the most epic fights with expert animation and fight choreography. The only problem the show has id the pacing of episodes and cheesy jokes. The pacing is quite slow, every arc has almost 10-20 episodes, which makes bingeing the most ideal option and sometimes the show tries very hard on the jokes but most the get it right.

If you love your common shounen and fantasy shows this is my pick for you.
